Obama+Donations=Ambassador

Was not even noticed by the mainstream media is how Prez O has appointed people to ambassadors who contributed heavily to his political reign:

--Louis Susman, 71, a retired Citigroup Inc. senior investment banker, raised between $200,000 and $500,000 for President Barack Obama’s presidential campaign and another $300,000 for his inauguration. On Wednesday, Obama nominated Susman to the post formally known as the Court of St. James.

- John Roos, chief executive officer of the Palo Alto, California-based law firm Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati, to Japan. He raised more than $500,000 for Obama.

-- Charles Rivkin, chief executive officer of Wildbrain Inc., to France. Rivkin collected more than $500,000 for Obama’s campaign and $300,000 for his inauguration.

-- Laurie Fulton, a partner with Williams & Connolly LLP, to Denmark. Fulton, 59, raised $100,000 to $200,000.

--Vilma Martinez, 65, a partner at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP in California, to Argentina gave to Obama

--Miguel Diaz, 46, a theology professor at St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota, to the Vatican -- gave to Obama.

“The practice of rewarding donors is a remnant of the spoils system that we abolished in the civil service,” said career diplomat Ronald Neumann, president of the American Academy of Diplomacy and a former ambassador to Afghanistan. “It is a dismal testimony to the importance of money in our electoral system.”

However the White House says: Robert Gibbs, the White House press secretary, called the nominees “a group of committed individuals and proven professionals that are eager to serve their country.”

I say: BS

World's Shortest Fairy Tale

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?' The girl
said, 'NO!' And the guy lived happily ever after and rode
motorcycles and went fishing and hunting and played golf a lot and
drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the
toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

6-13-09 Thought of the Day

It is sad when we consider that prior to mankind, the world was in harmony.

Some animals lived and other died, but the balance remained.

Yet mankind, like a parasite, seeks a new host, and as such, we expanded, conquered, and destroyed that what was native, and they were here before us by tens of thousands of years.

I found the below link.

I doubt fewer than handful of people in the world know who he was

He was a man, known to have killed that last of its kind.

Sad.

I hope that before he died, he thought to himself, What if I was the last? Would something, some other creature, take my life? And therefore ending humanity.

Crappy word Humanity.

Sounds like we are "humane"

We are not.

We are human. Selfish, destructive, doomed by our own hand.
